The Guidance Center Family Clinic provides a wide array of mental health services designed to build on the strengths of children and families. At the Guidance Center Family Clinic, we believe that treatment of children’s behavioral or emotional difficulties must be family-focused and community-based to be effective. We adapt creative individual, family and group methods based on the unique needs of each child and family. We also offer psychological evaluation and testing and psychopharmacological treatment, when appropriate.

Eligibility Criteria

Children are eligible for services based on individual and family need and type of insurance coverage. If the child is experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties that impair their functioning at home, school or in the community, they may also be eligible.

 

Fees

We accept most insurance plans and also provide a sliding fee scale for those without insurance.

Referrals can be made by phone by any of the following sources:

  • Insurance Companies
  • Department of Social Services
  • Department of Mental Health
  • Hospitals
  • Primary Care Physicians
  • Other Mental Health or Social Service Providers
